Repairs have been completed to the westbound lane of the Central Street Bridge over the Sudbury River in Saxonville. MassDOT has completed a review of the repairs and an analysis of the bridge weight capacity. The bridge will be reopened to two-way traffic on Wednesday February 10th with a posted weight limit restriction in both directions. The Central Street Bridge will be posted with the following weight restrictions: 2-axle vehicles 14 tons, 3-axle vehicles 15 tons, and 5-axle vehicles 18 tons. Vehicles with weights in excess of this posting shall seek alternate routes. Link to Possible Alternate Routes
Barletta has started breaking into the Hultman Aqueduct to establish the internal inspection access point at Brook Street in Framingham. This is about 6,800 feet from the access point that has already been established at Shaft L in Framingham. Fencing and small construction trailers are located at Grove Street, Framingham and Rice Road, Wayland, which Barletta will break into next for access points. Each year, Common Cause Massachusetts honors those municipalities that display key governance documents on their websites. This year the Town of Framingham's website won the E-Government Award with Distinction. Municipalities who post their governing body’s minutes and an agenda, their budget, their bylaws, and, if applicable, their town meeting warrant and results received the 2010 e-Government Award. Those who additionally post a year’s archive of minutes and agendas, their calendar, their zoning bylaws, their school committee’s minutes and agenda, and the minutes and agenda for another board or committee will receive the award with distinction.
